Detailed Job Responsibilities
- Manage overall warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking through manual systems or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Plan and optimize warehouse layout to improve space utilization and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with transporters, delivery teams, and third-party logistics providers for timely movement of goods.
- Monitor inbound and outbound logistics schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
- Implement standard operating procedures for material handling, safety, and quality control.
- Supervise warehouse staff, allocate duties, and ensure productivity across shifts.
- Handle discrepancies, damages, shortages, and returns in a systematic manner.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, fire regulations, and security protocols.
- Prepare logistics reports, inventory summaries, and performance metrics for management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements in logistics operations.
- Support audits, stock verification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
